Join Rick Collier as participants are given an overview as to “Why” and “How” the 14-acre natural area known as the Dixon Meadow Preserve came to be. The evening is an educational walk through the refuge focused on the various native habitats ranging from open water to dry up-land meadows, the importance of the preserve to birds and other wildlife, and the management of storm water for reduced flooding.
